Hi all,

I found this today in a private yard..it's 3 inches long, made of copper or brass and is solid except for 1/2 inch (threaded hole). I really don't know what it is..maybe part of an old tool or from an old lathe?

Any help appreciated.

I think you may have a finial for a lamp

You know, it looked familiar but I've never seen one that long..then again some old lamps are kinda odd looking anyway..

Thanks for the help!

How about the handle of a fireplace tool.

Maybe it's the pendant pull to an overhead flush john.
