Didn't find this detecting, but still would like some help iding it. It is 1 1/4" across. It is foreign.

Thanks, Mojjax. The items are definitely related. However, in addition to their different reverse attachments, you'll notice that on this one the sword hilt is lettered "FGC" rather than "GIL," as on the on in the link photo. Here's why...

This is a badge of the Italian Fasci Giovanili di Combattimento (FGC) — Fascist Young Combatants— a paramilitary organization for males 18-21. Founded in 1930, the FGC was ccnsolidated with other youth groups into the Gioventù Italiana del Littorio in 1937, which was in turn disbanded in 1943.

I found a web page about the FGC. The translation said (the page was in Italian) the badge is for a "2nd degree master of the beam of combat". I think something was lost in translation. BEAM probably should have translated to SUPPORT. Anyway, it signifies rank.

Here's the uniform from 1932 - 35. You can see the pin.

From the catch, it is probably pre WW-2. If it is Fascist party connected it is of value to an Italian medal war collector.
I have a number of NSP badges of the same pin type. I am a German military dealer.
