I'm pretty sure what it is. Just wondering if anyone can help with who made it and narrow down how old it is. It does have a word or words on the side but it's hard to tell what it says. The only really distinct thing is the shield on the front that is offset. It actually opens pretty easily but there are no markings on the inside. I can't find anything online that matches this. 20170910_111220.webp20170910_111251.webp

Could also be a condom case.

Yeah i didn't think about that. It has a mirror in the top half. So I would still lean towards the make-up theory. But I don't know anything about old condom cases, other than some used to be metal, so maybe so.

Looks like an Old 20's to 50's rouge makeup compact.

Google "Princess Pat" you have one of these or some other brand. I think this is the 1930 - 1931 black case.

Thanks for the ideas everyone! I still haven't found an exact match, but the Princess Pat brand looks like the closest bet so far. I'll update if I find anything.
