I was out digging an early 1900's site today and found this interesting piece of iron. What got my attention was the decorative design along the edge. It would be nice to have the complete object instead of just a piece of it. Wonder how stuff like that gets broke into pieces. It is iron and has been in electrolysis for a while. The back is really crusted up, otherwise I would post pictures of the back also.

I thought I have seen a similar object somewhere on one of the forums, but I can't locate it. I think it was a candle holder or something like that.

Thanks for looking.

I agree some type of broken cast iron plumbing piece. I was thinking along the lines of a drain cover...
