Some kind of flask?

Hey guys,
It's been awhile since I posted something. I was hunting an old shed site. I moved the old tin from the roof where it had collapsed onto the ground, and found a lot of good stuff. This flask was one of the items. I believe it was in a leather holder at one time. Bits of it were there when I first picked up the flask, but was more like dirt and fell into dust.
The spout is threaded on the inside, but there was no stopper with it. The back is stamped out and the front is soldered to it. The spout is also heavily soldered. The only writing on it are the words magic stream and a image of an arrow. From the spout to the bottom end is 12.5cm. The width is 7.5cm., and it is 1.8cm thick.
Can anyone tell me who made this, and how old it is? I'm sure it's not real old, I'm thinking 30's, 40's maybe?
Thanks, Tom.

My thought is that it's a canteen. And if as you say, you think it had some kind of leather covering, that would make it seem even more possible that it's a canteen.
I couldn't find the name "Magic Stream". Don't give up looking...you may just find it.
Super nice find. To bad it didn't have the stopper/top

Wait (edited) it's only about 5" long? Seems way too small for a canteen, so I change my answer to flask :-)
