We hunted this homesite earlier this year and got some Indians, Buff. Nickels, wheats and a little silver. Spent tonight slowly working the front of the porch area, digging all of the iffy signals. It always shocks me to see what we are missing sometimes. If you know anything about the shell item, please respond. I will try to google it later. Also forgot to mention that the Porter on the dog tag stands for Porter Township. I have found another Porter tag but that one is dated 1902.
