So Ive been getting out for an hour here and there when I can, some really nice weather. So Ive got this big 7 house demo area Ive been working since late summer, worked an area that held 5 houses the entire time til this day. I decide to check out what I thought was where a newer home sat. % minutes in and Im digging a wheat, foot away up comes another(56+57),I check around the area and starting going away from it blam nice dime-quarter melody, root around and theres a sweet merc in the muck, sweep the hole reach over to start filling it in and theres another merc laying right on top the mud pile(39+43),couldnt pull out much else,a little clad,2 different sheriff stars also what appears to be a little copper ring. 1.jpg

So the next day was last friday,I go meet this guy I sub from to pick up a check. Hes roofing this turn of the century that is currently a rental. Right in front of my truck is a clothesline(you know where this is heading) So Im hunting the clothesline, everyone is quite sure Ill find nothing under the clothesline where its so obvious I will. Its really quiet and I hear something way down there, was about as deep as Ive pulled a coin, short of the beach, probably 8 inches, pull out a 1927 wheat, dug a couple more holes pulled out some round metal whatzit that was just too close to a silver dollar along with some other small metal thing, had to go to work. Got done a little bit early and Im hunting this new spot Ive been to a couple of times,a block and a half long older homes, couple business. Pull all sorts of things from this spot, though Im having trouble getting much older, couple wheats so far. Dug some clad,a decent motorcycle,a door thing, a pulltab like Ive never seen, even kept it in my finds box(bottom right in pic) 4.jpg

So I didnt get out again til monday, hunted a demo after work for less than an hour, couple coins, part of a hotwheels. Went out that night(50 degrees out and perfect)over around the front of the high school stadium, plenty of light.Dug some clad and picked up a lot of trash for an hour or so. 5.jpg

Tuesday was on a very short leash had about an hour after work, stop where a very old school used to stand but a new one is there now. Area has been graded and dirt moved here and there, never know what you will find, have dug an slq there. Mangaged 3 wheats right near the surface, flag pinand a ring that holds screen on faucet.6.jpg

Now wednesday I had about half the day started out at a little park/football field, dug some clad,a lock. Next Im at this old church that is now a print shop, guy says Im good to go but others have hunted it,found quite a bit of clad,2 Great Times tokens, finished up at an old school I forgot I knew about, dug a couple wheats 7.jpg8.jpg10.jpg11.jpg

Thursday I finally turn on my detector its dark out and just starting to rain, had to check out this construction spot, got pretty wet and some measly finds,a great hunt,2 coins part of an old saw thing, some other stuff2.jpg

Me and Mr Stewart have been working hard to get all the clad through the tumbler, rolled and counted totals look like this
293 dimes 29.30
92 nickels 4.60
215 quarters 53.75
1266 pennys 12.66
2766 100.31

....
My pictures got kinda screwed up but Im sure you can gather the general idea.
Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to gaze upon my meager gatherings, Merry Christmas and HH....SHoot

Very nice!!!!!
I've got some good sites i've been researching. 1850's flour mill and about 4 old school sites from late 1800's. Unfortunately I don't have much luck detecting. I'll keep ya posted. Sorry for rambling, keep up the good work.

keep your eyes on the ground.
