Hi everybody.
I just found this section fo the forum the other day, and finally have something worth of posting.![Grin ;D ;D](https://www.treasurenet.com/smilies/grin.gif)
I was at a Saver's store earlier today, looking for interesting stuff, but wasnt having any luck. I found a few plates and such which I thought might be silver, but turned out to be silverplate. So my mom says that we need to leave, and that she was going to checkout. I said ok, and wandered over to the toys. What the heck, right? So Im looking around and see and old-looking box. I immediately go to it, and pull it off the shelf. I see that its a Battleship board game. It sure lloked old, but I have seen some of those where the games are new, and just have old box art. So I look at it, and sure enough, copyright 1967. Bingo! I grabbed it an calmly walked to the register and payed my $2.15 and left. I get home and check, and it is complete! The only problem areas are the "Battleship" stickers on the board things fell off, and the box has a little damage from the tape the store put on it. But otherwise, It is in excellent condition.
IM not sure what its worth, but IM going to check ebay and go from there.
Oh, and I also got a 1942 nickel and a Virgin Island quarter in change at two different stores also. Sadly, the nickel was not a war nickel, but still the oldest coin I've gotten in change so far. It beat the 1953 nickel I got a few months ago.
