Its been a while since Ive posted but got out for a hunt with Killa77 on the lower Chesapeake bay. We had some good finds but he had the best. Its a cell phone pic so I will try to get better pics up soon. In my opinion its an awsome Hardaway, what do you all think? Found alot of brokes mostly ryholite and quartz. Some other materials allways pop up. Did get one nice stanly point which is my 1st stanly. The long white quartz one is my sons first good find. He was pumped and held on to it the whole walk back to the car. These plus quite a few knives and other tools that I will put in a different post. Happy Hunting ---bsit

Thanks it was a good day. What do you think of the 1st pic?

It looks perfect. I don't know what type it is but it sure is nice. Looks like it's very sharp too.

It is. Wish it was mine. Killer find for him. Very sharp and colorful. Reds browns yellows and all in between. I think its jasper but not sure.

The pic doesn't show the colors very well. Was it overcast out?

yes plus it was a cellphone pic. I dont have the point but next time I see him ill get better ones

Regardless of the pic, it's obviously a very nice point!

Nice group of artifacts man. Congrats to your son on that fine piece, I bet he will remember that beauty for a long time.

I would definitely agree with Hardaway on K1llas point, and it's a banner worthy point imo, perfect condition, high grade material with good size. Not to mention they are a scarce type and exceedingly rare once you start getting north of southern Va.

Congrats on the Stanly , another scarce type, I found a pretty nice narrow stemmed example today, it's been a few years since I found one.

Thanks 37. I really need to get killa77 to put up some pix of it soon. You will be amazed. Its the best point Ive been witness to finding. Since you commented my sis came over and checked out new peices and broke the tip off my stanly. MAD! Clean break so it will glue nicely. Didnt even yell. Proud of myself. Thats 2 points that the tips broke off today. Rough day

That's messed up, I fumbled a nice Hardaway Palmer once and broke an ear off, I'm still pissed about that one. That stemmed quartz piece below the quarter is really nice too. I'd like to see more pics of that Hardaway.

Thats funny that you mention the quartz peice cause thats the other 1 that dropped and i cant find the tip to it. No fixing that 1.

What room was she in when she broke it? It HAS to be there. Get a clean vacuum bag and vacuum the room, every nook and cranny, then empty the bag out and go through it. Come on now, if cops can find a human hair in carpet fiber, you can find that tip.

We did. Its hardwood floors and we swept and went through it. I spent a good bit looking then my wife did. Maybe it broke into multiple shards. Its only like an 1/8 in long tip. A shame.

Talked to k1lla and we will get the pix up in the next few days. This point is awsome. I was right behind him. Seems the guys with glasses find em quicker than those without. He was on fire that day. Think he went home with 9 and tools. Around here we are lucky to get 2 a trip.

Nice finds. The Stanley is a real winner. Is your friend's Hardaway-like point made of Onondaga chert?

I very much like the lovely quartz point your son found. Nice quality quartz, and especially well made.

Im almost positive its jasper since we find a lot of multicolered jasper here. But as soon as i get more pix up ill let you all be the judge of it. Soon. My son was extremely happy and me proud. It was a good day.
