Weather was nice and warm today so i checked some fields still open for detecting. I came along one field where you can get stone age artifacts regulary, but most time it had green manure on it in winter so i didn't had a chance to look for flint after the rain had washed it out. This time i was lucky to find it laying in idle and gave it a try for 45 minutes.

I had the detector with me and stumbled over a weird Penny. I really have no idea how a 1988 Penny got into this field and who hit it with a hammer...

Next field was a roman villa site. Not much time left this afternoon but managed a scrappy As, part of a bracelet and something what looked like a tiny rein guide first. After cleaning i noticed that it's not broken. Looks more like a bold ring now....

Glad you had a chance to get out & find some stuff.
Strange Ring/Guide thingy, not sure what it is...

Hope to get there one more day this week. The rain you had on the weekend has flooded our already wet fields today, so we might have won a couple days...

Good to see you got out to do some digging.
Nice flint knife/scraper.
The ring/guide one is interesting, almost has an indented look to the round area.
Pretty hefty item for its size, does it fit your finger?

It's just the picture and colour difference in the patina. It's flat. Very small, just 5/8 inner diameter so no. Not even on my left pinky...
