Dug these today while I had the chance to stop by one of my old plantation sites in the Northern Neck of Virginia.. Victorian period buckle (?) and a expert on colonial artifacts that I messaged here on TN - told me the 2nd artifact is a rosette, but then also Creksol pointed out (in What Is It) a really good reference on some old 18th century bed bolt covers... I am really hoping it is a rosette and take word that it is - but then again Creksol always is got a good point they both look so much a-like, a rosette or bed bolt cover... I would say the rosette (or even possible bed bolt cover) was the deepest artifact I have dug in a-while, it was 10-12 inches deep, and just gave out the slightest ever tone. I almost didn't dig it but, once i got about 4-5 inches in - it started blasting my ears off - I didn't get to excited cause i have had this happen to me with Cans before being that deep, when i pulled it out of the ground I knew it had to be colonial period..
