Thats wild. That is where my Dad was born and raised before he went away to war. Nice artifacts Thirty7. I always imagined that area rich in game. Thanks for sharing.

beautiful points and material, what is the material the point on pic 2 is made of? real nice stuff.
Take care and good luck. JYD...

The 2nd and 3rd points are made from Vera Cruz (Lehigh Co) Jasper. Somewhat common in the area, though larger pieces are hard to come by. The other pieces are likely Carbon Co Chert.

Thanks JYD, SRV, Musky, and Creek...Twitch gave some good info on the materials, he's right on. I would add that 1 and 3 were most likely heat treated or too close to a fire.

Thanks for the info Twitch, you're right about larger pieces of jasper, they seem scarce. I'll post a few larger pieces from the collection once I resize them. I really like the Pa jasper, fine quality lithics.

Few more pieces of Pa. Jasper.

Oh that one, it's a hafted scraper from a heavily reworked Perkiomen point. Yours appears to be a hafted scraper of some kind of stemmed point, nice one.

Thanks Jaron, one of these days I'll put up some sw Pa. stuff, some interesting and high grade materials in that area too.

Great material. I particularly like pic 2 in the first set of pics - if that is an Otter Creek-like point, jasper is a rare material for that. The jasper of which that point is made is as nice as Berks-Lehigh jasper comes.
