I went back to the colonial site yesterday where non ferrous signals are gone and started digging the iffy iron signals with the HF elliptical coil. Some flat buttons and this cool old silver ring that was in separate pieces. The signal was very strange showing only 45 VID. I first dug the thin band, then swept over the hole with the coil (thinking that it could possibly be part of ring) and a 95 VID (using 26kHz frequency) showed. That was fun.
