it is a wheat penny -- looks like it was shot with a 22 from a distance

No -- Not too many volunteer to have holes dug in their yard ;D unfortunately too many see it that way . Ian is a web site guru and he started the site to share info and show some of the stuff we find . He really has not done much with it in a while though .
 

That shot penny is cool, did that smashed small bullet below it come from same hole? Either way its a great find, just think that penny probably stopped someone from getting shot in the leg...(If it was in their pocket)

Nice finds. A few nice dropped also. I think I will be going out today regardless of the winter storm advisory.... I have the desire to dig a few more bullets myself... LOL!!!
