Old Chain found in the woods in a newly cleared area. I was wondering how old it might be? I know it is trash and not worth anything, I am just a curious person! Thanks, Cindy

It's a long link chain, didn't see much of that after the 1930's. Could be a trace or harness chain from a horse or mule. Tony

I'll admit, I know very little about horse tack, but do trace chains have swivels?

To me, it looks like a log chain, minus the hooks.
