Solved - stick pin from the Austrian Aero Club

Hi All,

I was going through a jar of costume jewelry and found this. Does anyone recognize this eagle (or whatever bird)? It looks like is says OAE on it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think possibly it is Scandinavian, rather than German.

Whatever country it's from it needs to have the umlaut "o" in its alphabet. My money is on Austrian (Österreich).

I can't find it anywhere, but didn't look much tonight, since it's so late. Looks like a hatpin, too. Can you take a photo of the entire piece?

The red and white would suggest Denmark. Odd though because Swedes use the Ö while Danes use Ø, and Danes use Æ and Swedes don't as a rule. Maybe it's Norwegian and they use both? Dunno,i didn't go into it that far sorry lol.
Best guess would be 50's - 60's pilot or cabin crew lapel pin for an airline.

Yup, Österreich = Austria. Possibly a older Austria Air pin. They go back to 1957.
