There was an old still on the grounds where I found these items, I am wondering if any of these are parts from it? The round lid in the photo is pretty big, the area that is white on that photo is about the size of my coil.

The pipes that are in the ground are 3 to 6 feet in length, I did not dig them totally up, the first pipe is a smaller pipe that attaches to something as you can see in a later photo one of the ends it shows where there is a place for it to be screwed onto something.

The pipe in the second photo of pipes in the ground is much bigger than the photo above it.

Anyhow, if they are not from an old still, I know pipes are pipes and a drum lid is a drum lid, I just was curious if they were from the old still.

The second set of photos are other things I found in that area as well.

Re: Parts of an old Moonshine Still?

Looks like it could have beem screwed onto a pipe and may have had a pressure gauge or thermometer in the smaller hole. Just a wild guess. Lloyd

yep electrical box with conduit pipe attached.

I dont recognize the other items specifically but may be from irrigation farm machinery. Nothing to suggest a still that I see..

My first thought on the first item is dogbone radiator cap.
Cool, I found this from your suggestion: http://fineartamerica.com/featured/antique-radiator-cap-jon-rossiter.html and http://fineartamerica.com/featured/antique-radiator-cap-jon-rossiter.html
After I took a guess I found the same pic and posted it the same time as you. :D
LOL, I wouldn't have had a clue where to start looking without your help!

Looks like I need to search the area better, the owners of the land said it was somewhere on this part of there land, but they didn't know exactly where.

It is possible that it was totally cleaned up too, but I will search more anyhow!
Thanks for your help.

Being from n.ga, and the upstate of s.c., No still parts in that bunch, you find any copper tubing or pot parts you might be onto sumptin.

I don't have a clue what the geared part is for, but it is a straight cut bevel gear, designed to drive, or be driven by, another gear set at 90 degrees.

Thanks for that, I plan to get out later this week to explore that area a little more, I first checked closest to the woods, because I didn't figure it would be out in the open! I will keep my ears posted for the copper tone!

The pipes in the ground appear to be same pipes used for plumbing in older style housing. That one with gears on top does go to ice cream maker the one valve with threads in center go on an old style boiler. i dont really know about other two items but there is a pull tab could be from a budweiser depending on your preferences. 8)
