I found this button on a property dating to 1865. It appears to be silver plated, the back mark reads "test plated" Can anyone identify the maker of this button and a date range in which it was manufactured?

**Update** answer provided, this actually reads "best plated" dates to 1800-1820.

Thanks in advance for the assistance,

Jai

Re: Test Plated button back mark

Should be "Best Plated." :icon_thumright:

Around 1800-1820.

Re: Test Plated button back mark

Ahh, good answer, I was wondering why I couldn't see the left part of the "T", now I know, I just wasn't seeing a lot of the "B". I'll call this one solved, 1800-1820 is a nice specific date range. Thanks, appreciate the feedback.

Well I'm not the button expert, but the "Plated" buttons are early 1800's, for the most part.
