I found this brass piece recently in the same area where I found a 1922 Canadian penny. For scale - the penny is the same size as a modern US penny. The only marking on it is the 'PS' logo. I rubbed one end of it on fine emery cloth and it looks like it's solid brass. It is 3/8" thick and 1-13/32" wide along the top.
Any ideas as to what it is? Someone else found an identical piece in the same area a few weeks earlier. It looks like it might be a weight or something that slides into something else, and the two tabs along the top would hold it in.![Huh ??? ???](https://www.treasurenet.com/smilies/huh.gif)
