Sold for scrap!

Personally, I'd rather spend my money on a room with a private bath, even if it was just porcelain.

I know the Japanese are small bodied , but I can't see too many fitting in the tub and having a decent wash.

It is a whole different culture and way of doing things over there. The bath tub is not for soaping down in a bunch of bubbles.

I don't want to get too graphic but next to the tub is a very small stool and a very short shower or a bucket. You sit on the stool, soap down and rinse off. Then get in the tub and relax. :icon_thumleft:

I have been to Japan many times and in public baths (segregated of course) and private hot spring spas. All are about the same. Even most homes that I have been in are that way.

I will not get into the toilet useage description. :-X
