Software updated EQUInox 800 depth meter tests

New version software loaded in Minelab Equinox 800.

Here is some depth gauge info.
Pic of scenario swept with 2x4 thickness as guide for depth.
With an accompanying pic of actual screen while sweeping.
Btw that’s an 85.5 year old lady holding the detector in pics.

Park 2 default settings used except sensitivty at 23.

Five 2x4s were used to test with clad dime, Depth meter unrelialbe here, weak signal witnessed.
 

Same settings used here as noted above on both Nickel and clad dime.

Based on these tests, I think depth meter performance has been improved with software update.

There is a hyper link in the article where it says to download the MMU software on the second page below the system requirements. I didn't figure that out till it was pointed out in the other update thread.
 

Did i miss something here . I thought each increment represents 2". the only one accurate in the pics is the quarter with the 1-2x4..the rest are off by 2 ". it`s showing 2" deeper than it should..

I was wondering the something then it hit me, I didn't take into account that the coil was being swept a little above the top of the 2x4, so with that being said, if the coils being swept 1" above the top if the 2x4 and since the the Nox does't read in .5", increments it's probably rounding to the highest number, plus the Nox as well as most machines are basing the depth on Quarter sized targets. This is my opinion only, as I'm no expert, I hope my info is correct and it helped... Take care and God Bless!!!
