You could look for info on FUGAWI by Pinpoint Systems (Canadian company - website www.fugawi.com); I have used it in some sidescan searches on Lake Erie with good results.

do you wish to integrate mag,side scan data with the position data ? or just a simple adjustable grid overlay and if so do you wish to overlay it onto a vector or raster chart.

yes a mag aand im not sure what kind of chart.It will be on water of course in the ocean.Any ideas?
