In fact, the feds are not actually buying it all, it is getting options on the Ammo for 5 year contracts. Or so I hear. I understand this to mean they are not paying for it yet,, the manufacturers store it until and if the ammo is called in?

That is pretty smart! The ammo companies suffer, Americans suffer shortages, and if the feds decide not to exercise the options on the Ammo there will be a huge glut of ammo that will drive down the cost of ammo to the point the manufacturers will be bankrupted?
I am open to the discussion here, it looks very fishy,, maybe unethical, and I am not sure the Feds have ever been brought to justice on manipulation and monopolistic practices yet.
Why is the Marine corps cutting the ammo usage when the alphabet soup of agencies are continuing buying rounds?
