Howdy Folks!
Merry Christmas to ya'll who are ripping packages open, hoping to find a new detector under the tree.
Maybe you are enjoying a White Christmas, and dream of getting out with that new detector.
But you look at that snow on the ground and suddenly get cold feet! (notice how I worked a pun in there?)
Well, did you know that winter hunts can be productive? Any detector can see through snow just as it can see through the ground. So why not try a little snow hunting?
This video shows a few finds made during a cold winter day last year with snow on the ground.
I would mention that a smaller coil is better suited for snow hunting.
And to keep snow from packing on your coil, be sure to use a coil cover and coat it with Turtle Wax to keep it clear of snow. Otherwise, you could end up with an extra 50 pounds packed onto the end of your stick. That ain't much fun!
Here is the video, and I hope you enjoy hunting in winter. After all, Spring is still a long way off!
Blessings of the Season,
M-Taliesin
