Found this female laying her eggs this morning along the remnants of an old canal here.

Thanks much! There were other's eggs scattered all along the same path from predators digging them up and eating them.

Driving to our barn yesterday I seen a GIANT snapper in the middle of the road crawling. I stopped my car put on my 4 ways and got out to help the snapper. When i picked it up it wanted to BITE me !!! I got it off the road to a safe place and let it go. I think now is when they are laying eggs and this is probably what this one intended It was about 200 yards from a big creek
