Some time ago I found an old newspaper printers plate for an advertisement for J H Mcleans
kidney and liver balm.
It can be seen here:http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,54371.msg382320.html#msg382320
Yesterday I was at the doctors office and picked up this book. It could be handy for anyone
wanting to identify old medicine bottles.
In the book it shows a pic of the bottle thats on the printers plate that I had found and it
appears to be circa 1916
Besides the snake oil they used to peddle, they also sold almanacs containing calanders,
important holidays, weather forecasts, and tips for the management of everthing from
consumption to corns.
