$10.50 in Loose halves: 1 40%

$150 in rewrapped machine-rolled halves: skunked of course but had to try

It was my first silver half in the last two months of coin roll hunting including tons of stopping at banks and 10 skunky boxes.

Persistence is the word in this hobby.

When I saw the title, I thought you found a 40% on the ground.

I snagged a few downtown also yesterday. 3 40%ers

I also got 2 boxes yesterday, first in a while. 1 40%er between the two of them.

Yeah...I guess it sounds more exciting

By the way, day 2 of trolling the downtown banks has resulted in a George V Canadian fifty cent piece from 1918...92.5% score!

Nice shape too! It's worth over melt for sure. Looks like it is between VF and XF. VF is $42, XF is $145.

I have been looking in the cracks but I can't imagine finding a half dollar on the street.

I've found silver on the ground, and I know someone on this forum said they found a barber dime on the ground. I've not found any half dollars (clad or silver) on the ground yet.

I wasn't expecting it to be that valuable. Thanks for the heads-up. Now I am regretting carrying it around in my pocket with some other loose clad during my coin roll hunt.
