It’s that time year when I’m going to be off work all winter & im going to be hunting a lot! I went yesterday to one of my fields that had been turned over a little bit! So on my first pass I find this killer little bird point it looks to be made out of flint ridge it was a nice find! I found some other points but nothing that stands out! I found some scrapers & a really cool marble also!

Those are all killers!
That field looks like not much crop residue left to compete with, it looks rich and loamy. When the wind really gets wound up does the ground blow, dust up and blow away in front of your eyes and than does it get crusty?
I like in-situ pics and I also like to see a panoramic view of the general area your hunting.
Good job thanks for that.

Great Ohio finds, that birdy looks like one you'd find down south. Never found one here like that myself.

I looked up scallorn points that seems to be way out of my area for point type considering I found this point in southern Ohio!

Yes, I did too but it could be an outlier. I've found that the distribution range depicted in projectilepoints-dot-net are not necessarily spot-on! What else could it be?

I agree it looks the part of a scallorn! I guess it’s possible! The field I found it in mostly just gives up little bird points I’m not sure why but I don’t find any large points there!

I first saw many years ago that a lot of them are found in Texas. I'm surprised that they actually occur that far north!

Very Nice! It is always special when you find a bead, ''Way To Go''! :icon_thumleft:

Old digger it’s a marble!

Very nice bird point! Used to have more ground like that down here than now. Love to find another cultivated field that access could be obtained but ground is disappearing in this state.
