I bet this gets a million views, lol. Sorry to disappoint guys:tongue3: Anywho....I found this yesterday....if it isn't a door knocker, what is it? Also....I asked on another thread and got no response...if an item has been oiled, can electrolysis still be used effectively? As you can see there is some rust from the attaching nails and I want to get rid of that. Any idea as to age? Thanks for looking at my knocker:laughing7:

Context helps but so does the rust patterns in the picture.

Center to center on the holes is 3/4 inches. When did drawer pulls have this measurement?
 

Drawer pull no doubt. Probably was on a small drawer on a desk or cabinet. I've dug several over the years that are about the same size.
