Smallest Horseshoe I've ever found... Anyone explain...

I know its next to impossible to date a horseshoe... But I found this horseshoe in areas where I've found other old items.... It is smaller compared to any other horseshoe I've found before... Smaller than a mule shoe or a regular size horseshoe... Is this for a baby horse..? No idea..

Donkey or Shetland pony shoe?

Second picture, large horseshoe ... looks like a racing shoe ... are you finding aluminum shoes ?

Like the above posts say - probably a pony shoe. I've found a few but they don't appear to be as thick and heavy as your find. Pony carriages were fairly common around here.

I think it is some kind of Pony shoe.

or a small mule. different sizes for different horses go to your local horse shoe store and look over the factory made items for a surprise!!!

Looks like a Mule shoe. Could be a Pony. Horse shoes are usually more rounded. Mule and Donkey shoes have more straighter shanks.

In the picture a Donkey shoe is on the left, Mule in the middle, Horse, more rounded on the right.
