Small thin brass buckle

any ideas as to what this tiny little buckle went to? I hope i can find the other half.

Geeez, I know I've seen one before Digger Wendell. Can't remember if it was a drawer pull back plate...having one of those darn senior moments!

I think it is part or a suspender buckle,similar to this one, which measures 1 inch by 2 inches when coupled together.
