Small Tea Cup

I would guess this is a small tea cup, would it be from a doll set? Pretty crudely made, about 7/8" tall and 1" diameter. Found in a plowed field where the farmhouse burned down in the 1950's. Thats a cent in the pic with it.

If it was a mortar, the bottom would show marked wear. Looks like the glaze inside is intact. Assuming it was used. But at dollhouse size, maybe it wasn't.

The protrusion looks more like a spout than a handle. There would be no need to crease a handle like that. A creamer is likely. Or even something with an apothecarial use, i.e.- a medicine measure.

I would say it's an individual serving creamer...

Had breakfast today at a restaurant...and my coffee cream came in one almost identical... :coffee2:
