While metal detecting in Ohio this evening, we accidentally came across a small stone disc, approximately the size of a dime. There is a hole directly in the center. It almost seems as if it was used as a form of currency?

Our lot is the site of an old one room school house, and was also heavily inhabited by Native American Indians.

Any ideas would be appreciated!!

I'm willing to bet it's not stone and just a crusty corroded washer. If it is really more of a stone-like material, maybe a small grinding wheel, but I can't imagine any would ever end up looking like that. I can tell you it is not any form of money.
