found this at a garage sale , person wanted $1 i talked them down to 50 cents they didn't even know it was silver, its a really cool piece but what is it? any ideas anyone? i know its S. Blanckensee & Son Ltd 1926

i see garage sailing as a form of treasure hunting, it wouldnt be much of a treasure hunt if i told the people what they had! i try to get my items as cheap as i can (and trust me its not often) if you goto to a flea market and see something for $1 that you could sell for $50 do you say hey buddy i will give you $50 for it? i doubt it! and i have tried answering some questions here but the truth is most the time i dont know what the item is and im not always able to sit down at the computer to be on this site (with only 1 computer between 5 of us) but if this is the treatment i get when i am able to get on then maybe its time to look for another site

Nice find! I believe I woulda whipped that dollar out quick and not said nothing. If you dug it up it woulda cost nothing.

could care less about how many more posts you have than me it just proves i have a life and i dont spend many hours glued to a computer and i sleep even better knowing i got a nice piece for %50 less than the original price! sounds like good bargain hinting to me BTW i will sell it to you for $265 if you like seeing as you dont like to get a deal!
