1.The place of former village. The pits of the houses are not clearly seen.

2,3. We had to flatten the grass by the log tied to the car and made some circles.
4,5. We found all these things at the place of an old village which had had only two houses. There was a water-mill nearby.
The earliest coins are dated at the beginning of the 18 century. The latest coin has the date 1828/
Also a small hidden treasure in a broken ceramic pot was found. 9 coins (nominal 5 copecks) dated by the time of Katherine II ruling and smaller ones dated by the time of Pavel II.
Also there are 9 coins of Siberia of the 18 century, which were minted only for Siberia. All in all we have found more than 100 coins at the same small place.

6.Not long ago a bear crossed this river. My foot-print is nearby.

why do I feel like telling some stupid "in Soviet Russia" joke ?

nice coins ;)

have you ever found golden roubles ? I had a few from Nikolas 2nd (10 and 15r coins)

It never amazes me, how Russins can use the simplest equipment and get the job done. Congratulations and nice finds!! I think most of us would have tried to think of a high tec way of removing the grass, and of course would have given up and went to another spot. What area are you in?

Awsome find, do you thinks a Garrett 250 can find treasures like this ? I am new to this hobby. I love doing it and want to be successful.

Thanks for your congratulations. :icon_thumleft:

All the best,

Nice job with the grass guys. That bear would lay the smack down on anyone. Do you guys carry protection? Also do you guys wear head phones? I think after seeing that paw i would rethink the head phones!
