Got permission to hunt a tiny little front yard of a 1930s house. Gridding this way and that, and then diagonally, I beat this little spot to death in just over an hour, but managed to pull a little 10k gold ring, a 1927 merc dime and a small hand full of clad.

The ring has holes where stones used to be. It isn't marked but tests 10k or better, but not 14k. Looks like an older design and style.
The merc was well-circulated.

That puts me at 10 gold rings and 110 silvers FTY.

10 gold, if all from the dirt meaning no beaches, is a great number!
I'm guessing to get those numbers you're out tectin' 3 to 4 times a week?
Congratulations on a great year and thanks for all the enjoyable posts.

Job well done - congrats !

Thanks!
Got one gold ring from Lake Tahoe in the water, the rest were all parks/yards. Yep, 3-4 times a week is about right. This retired life is tough! :laughing7:
