✅ SOLVED Small old coin- what is it?!

Still in the field- lunch break. Dug a weak but clear copper signal- pulled this out at about 10”. 14 stars, no visible date or writing of any kind with the exception of “1” on reverse. It looks very much like the indian princess bust- This thing is tiny!! Any ideas?!?

EXACTLY!! Wow- at least I’m not the only sucker to get his heart pounding over fake money! From these links and several other threads, I believe this to be a charm or watch fob accessory to look like a $1 gold coin. Obvious differences include the obverse of a 14 star Liberty Head, with the reverse of a later type 2 or 3 Indian Princess. No words to be found. I’m sure more than one obstreperous child snipped the loops off of their fathers in an attempt to pass it off in exchange for a shopping bag full of candy! Strange but cool little find! I think I would initially be disappointed to find out it is toy money...but then...how cool is that? Nice find!
