My son and I found this item this past fall metal detecting in a park near our house. This was found under the root of a large old tree. We have no idea what it is :dontknow:, but think it might be some sort of hubcap. It measures about 6 inches in diameter. We could not identify the symbol in the middle, but are hoping someone out there will recognize it. The image might even have the symbol upside down. The back appears to have had some sort of lead (I'm guessing here) backing. The orange colored spots on the back appear to be some sort of paper type material (which you can see in the lower right hand side) that is between the medal and what I think is lead. After spending hours searching Google with no luck, :BangHead: we are turning this over to the TNet community for help.

Thanks for looking!

Timing is everything.

There was a time you could have bought 6 of those for $100.
