Any idea where this tiny thing game from or what it is? FYI: the square on the right is Osmium. It does not react to platinum solution an is commonly used in battery connections.

Very interesting stuff. It would be a huge assistance to all of us T'Netter 'What Is It' researchers if you photograph your finds against a darker background, preferably in natural light and especially in focus.
By simply using a darkish blue cloth as a background, natural light
(or a couple of light sources from different angles - for example - a table lamp and a hand held torch)
For focus, nothing beats a tripod (I paid NZ$15 for mine - so about $8 USD)
If you want any more assistance, just PM me.

I intend sending this message to everyone who posts a What Is It pic with a white/light/kaleidoscope type background.

We'll get it right eventually.

Yeah, Right! - is a famous NZ saying.

Cheers, Mike

my first thought is that it is a stretched penny from a penny press, it looks to be to small though.
second thought: small id tag from something old. lots of stuff at the turn of the century had little plates attached to them.

My guess. it looks like a part off a fishing spinner.

I think its a great ID because I see a fishing sinker also in the photo and what looks like a piece of pop top.. If this was found in saltwater, it would explain why the nickel plating has worn off.
