Small change purse coin cache found saturday.

Hi everyone

Got together saturday with my brother and hit up an old park. The first half of a three hour hunt netted about 4 or 5 wheats a piece for the each of us and a few relics.

I decided to use the dues because my back had been bothering me the day prior. Brother had the ctx with 17 inch coil.

Got a somewhat decent hit on the dues but didnt pay close enough attention to the numbers. Brushes some leaves and the target moved.

Swept a couple leaves away to find a half opened change purse full of some coins. Brought it over to my bro and we were hoping a few silvers where hiding in there.

The first coin to roll out was a buffalo so we knew it was an older cache.

Not this time though held 8 coins just some older jeffersons and some wheats but still was a cool little find.

We continued our hunt and picked up some more wheats and a indian to round out the day.

Brother scored an 1864 two cent piece a v nickle and some wheats for the day.

Silver was right around the corner but needed to wrap up the day. Wife was starting to bug me.

What kind of dates are you seeing ? I guess it's mostly after 1937 with the Jeffs being there .

I would rather find a 2 cent piece than a silver. Much more rare. Congrats on a good hunt.

That had to be exciting just to see the coin purse, as it is an older one. It had to be more exciting to open it and see it had some coins. Very nice find.

Yeah it was still pretty cool for a few moments not knowing exactly what it held.

Ive found others over the years that had silver. I dug one hole about 5 years ago and found 4 dollars in turn of the century coinage.

A few years ago i found 4 silver dollars in a cluster. Ive found other caches over the years. They are out there.

The two center was a nice find. I had a hunch about a particular hillside. I told my bro lets hed up there and he scored the 2 cent piece.

Cant get them all. I got a indian on the hill though.

Weather is supposed to break later this week. Hope to get a few long hunts in this weekend.
