I found this button Saturday and cant find any info. about it or the design on it. It is just the outer shell of the button ,so there is no backmark. It is the size of a half dime and came from a spot where things have been found that date from revolutionary to modern. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!!

It's a floral civilian button. It's kind of hard to tell without the back but most if not all of this type I've see have had a self shank. A self shank is a hump in the back with a hole on each side. I think that button would date late 1800's to early 1900's
