Small Buckle

I found this buckle at a Spanish/American War camp site. It appears to have an X or crossed cannons and an anchor on the back.

Cool. I've never seen one with the X and anchor like that. Fomr the way it's made I'd say it's horse related and Span Am or WWI period.

I also believe its horse related. We have had items before posted with this anchor and I think its the North & Judd mark.

I was fortunate to find two buttons there. One is an Eagle and the other is an Illinois State seal.

The buttons are in great shape!When i found my buckle i did search around to see where it may have come from & this was the one i think it was.Myabe north &jud had a deal with the government for the troops supplies?
