Sluice Legs

Hey guys....im trying to extend my current 10" x 48" sluice, adding an additional 24" or so.

The question i have is what is a cheap but STABLE way to make legs for the extension part of the sluice?

I was thinking there has to be something at Lowes/Home Depot to make these...i already have 1/2" square aluminum bars just not sure what to use to attach to the sluice and tighten to hold it up?

Any one every build their own legs? Any ideas?

Maybe you could extend the length of the sluice by modifying a gutter downspout extender and some V mat like this.

well i already have the sluice i just need a way to hold it up lol

Im going to connect the extended piece with bolts and wing nuts basically but didn't want to spend $40 on legs and wait a week for them.

Drill a hole that the legs will fit through in pieces of wood. Attach them to the sluice body and adjust and secure the legs with set screws...maybe even thumb screws.

Here's something to think about a walker -- easy to find at thrift stores - my Keene A51 is a perfect fit.
Plus as we are all getting older we may need it some day.
Cut legs or adjust to fit.

I have used legs off of crutches cheap at goodwill lightweight and adjustable.

I took the plastic parts off an elderly bath transfer seat I got at goodwill
the leg brackets on the GoldHog sluice look like something a guy could make or find something like it at home depot.

just saw a set of homemade leg's that look like they might work alright.
parts list:
Conduit Straps $1.89-10pack
Set-Screw Coupling $2.30- 5pack
10ft Conduit $3.52 to make 4 leg's

I got a 42" drop riffle made out of pine. When it needs legs, usually only on the discharge end, I just shoot a couple drywall screws into some 1x2 driven into the creek bottom and screw it on. I suppose that with a metal sluice one could clamp a pair of 1x2 on each end with a 12" bar clamp? Never tried it but it should work cheap.
