Did a morning hunt with Tom Bigbee at an old school site which is now used as a community center. Found my first standing liberty quarter at six inches. Unfortunately the date is gone, but still a great find. Also, found 5 wheat pennies, a 42, 50D, and 51. The other two pennies need further cleaning to make out the dates. Walking back to the truck, I noticed near the base of a pine tree, a green piece of plastic sticking half out the ground. I thought, "that looks like a plastic Easter egg." Sure enough it was one. Obviously the community center held an Easter egg hunt and the kiddies missed one. Hoped there was an silver 50 cent piece inside, but settled for the dollar bill. Thanks for visiting and happy hunting!

Nice finds Silver Worm!

I'm glad I was there to see that one come out of the hole... That wasn't what I was expecting when you called me over! You should have shown that nice civilian button too.

nice looking quarter. I also found an Easter Egg last year that the kids had missed in a park. It was under the leaves & my detector went off. It was full of change, but imagine my surprise when I went thru it all, there was a silver war nickel in there. Ya just never know.
