SLQ- Squished Liberty Quarter! Took my 4 year old out for some "treasure hunting" and scored a few silvers. First a '43 Merc which she pinpointed and pulled. Next was a sideways Merc that was scratchy, a '36. Next came a slammin' signal but choppy. 12-44, 12-46, 12-45, 06-49. Strange. Out popped what I thought was an old cob. Turns out it was a '18 SLQ that looks like it had a run in with a steamroller.

Pics of my daughter was her holding the two Mercs. Cheers and happy hunting!

I didn't know SLQ's could get ugly, but this is one that would look better in the dark;)

Looks like an awesome day to me! Grats on the silvers!

Treasure simply was abounding on this hunt. Below and above ground!

Nice!

Hey you sure that slq, isn't a cob??? It looks like one..lol
Great hunt with the kiddo..

Very nice finds! Great to get the next generation involved. As this is my very first post here, I'm not sure if it's cool I share my finds today or if that considering threadjacking your post. Took my new AT Pro out for the first time. I live in the Northeast and a nice day has finally coincided with a day off. Went to the beach and 10 feet of each other, I found three iterations of dimes. 1995, a 44 Merc and an 1899 Barber that other some patina, is in fairly decent shape. I just love the juxtaposition of hits in a row.

Anywho, just wanted to get my feet wet and learn the functions of the AT Pro, hear the tones and such. Turned out to be fairly productive! Happy hunting, all! I can't believe I hadn't found this site sooner!

I don't mind you throwing your finds up. But one-upping me with a barber ain't cool! Lol.

Welcome and nice digs
