Just started going back in the water last couple weeks. I've been in 4 times and it's been a bit slow. Someone has been beating me to the punch in one spot, so I'll have to try and get in front of my comp. My other spots have been slow since about October for swimmers, and I haven't been in the water since late October early November. But spring is in the air, aand my shortie suit is fine. Getting warmed up for spring break.....should be some tourist depositors in the swim hole soon. Here's the goods after my first 4 swims of 2023.

So after 4 swims with the nox I had an old tarnished gold ring that polished up nice. I don't see much gold that's tarnished/stained, but this spots wierd muck has produced them before....first they look like silver, then the black tarnish turns a rainbow Hugh. Also had a diamond crusted 14k initial charm with a crown, silver ring with diamond chip, loose ruby, bent open piece of scrap gold, a couple silver earrings, and pelnty of junk rings and earrings

Thanks kray.....im in the shallows of the Florida keys....its alot different from the rest of florida, but im usally in knee deep to 6ft. Water depth for this type of hunting.

It's not even March yet Bart, the spring break drops will brighten things up I'm sure.
Still not too shabby for the take so far, beats looking at frozen white landscapes.

Thanks pepper 🌶 I am trying to get an early start. I think everyone Has this idea that were able to hunt all year long in the water..... and the temperature is the least concern. Starting in late October early November the days are short, the sky can be cloudy, it's windy, and the water clarity is like pea soup!! But spring comes early, and when that water is clear and inviting and it's sunny out.....well that's when I know it's time to start.....if I feel that way....so does everyone else !! Stay warm....and pet max for me !!

Thanks Steve, it feels good to get wet....going spearfishing and shipwreck hunting next week at work !! Spring is here for us islanders !! Woooo hoooo !

Thank you river roamer !! Im hoping that it will get better every week. It's like mowing the yard......only the yard is sand and it's underwater. But it should be done once a week !!

I like to weed out the gold and silver from my under water yard:icon_thumright:

@angelito1 it's been a challenge here in South florida....hunting competition at the big popular swimming holes can be fierce. Im constantly challenged to keep my spots clean. If I don't get there and hunt someone else will. So far I've been beaten to one spot twice already !! I get there and get in the water and.... nothing....not even a pop top !!
