SLOG & DUMP Field finds..........

Hard day with not much to show.

Slog field lived up to its name again with:
2 buttons
1866 worn Penny
Geo Farthing

Dump Field has dryed up of any military buttons or capbadges & if I didn't get the mid-18th century Button with a naive looking horse I would have gone home unhappy.
Scrappy Roman, Dandy Button, 1943 Threepence.

So all together probably my worse day in months.

Hey Crusader, a person has to respect another persons hunting area, it might only be 100 years old and that's all you will find however, your area is over 2000 years old so I can respect that! Some of my areas are that old but I'm just not finding it. I am sure you do a lot of research and deserve the finds you make. Always enjoy your posts, even the grotty Roman coins, LOL! HH, Mike

Now I might make you sick. I do no research at all. Except when I find something. I research what I find & why it might be there but never where should I hunt. If I can research it then so can everyone else. These are the places done 20 years ago.

I live by 'try anywhere once' & once might not be enough. Sometimes I like it find very little so I can cross some land off my list.

Terrific finds. Being an ignorant American I would have probably put most of that stuff (not the coins) in the trash. It is good that you can identify that stuff and its worth and age. I know you think you didn't find much, but just one of those old coins found over here would have been occasion to call the local news! Congrats on some great finds as usual.
