Slim pickings, caution, you will only see a little clad and junk inside

Got out today with a friend of mine to the Jersey Shore, Temp was about 40*F at 5:30am with no wind, the surf was pretty rough considering and the beach was sanded in but good. My buddy ran his Infinium, I used my 1280X.

We headed down the beach for about 3/4 of a mile in and out of the water with hardly any hits at all, targets were so scarce I ran my 1280x with no Disc just about all day. My buddy was only listening for Nickel signals during this part of the way down the beach which on the Infinium is a high-to-low tone, he got some junk and one square tab on this part of the hunt and I picked up about 35cents.

Made the turn and we meandered thru the lane back to the starting point, this is where we picked up the clad.

We had a great time though, a nice 4 1/2 hr spin. I really enjoy the hunt you know? always thinking the next swing of the coil is going to hit on something. It warmed up to about 45*F which without the wind is very comfortable for me.

HEY GLENN Looks like my day yesterday . I won't even tell ya about today ..3 hour spin, 3 cents in clad , That's a penny an hour . Our beaches down here are well sanded in , What we need is a cold front with some High winds to strip off some of this sand . That's just part of this hobby though , you take the good days with the bad days . Like you say the next swing could be gold , Happy new year to ya bud guz1

We do it for the adventure of wondering what is going to come out of the ground next. Even a bad day of detecting is better than a good day at work or doing chores so the ole lady doesn't run off before she makes dinner.
