Thanks for the link, Jeff!
I wouldn't mind owning one of any of them, but I truly enjoy just looking at the pictures. They really put a lot of work into creating those works of art, not like today. Even the older currency was beautiful. I'm sure that they could make money that artistic today and still incorporate security measures against counterfeiting.

Yea Not sure Why they Insist
on Making coins Ugly Today

Even the Older Bills looked Better

thanks for the link Jeff. Very interesting and the older coins were very attractive coins for sure. Hope they do something tastefull with the Lincoln cent now that they have a chance to change it. I like that ring chain coin reverse. That double barber eagle is really nice. But I agree, it doesn't actually fit the colonial time period to me either.

Very nice coins, indeed!

however...I've never considered the early 1900s as the colonial era

1906 Barber Double Eagle

Estimated Value: Priceless
This is a unique experimental coin made during the Colonial Era.

I Ony consider the NE Shilling Colonial

That one Among a couple others Surprised
me of their Value Also.

I Do like the look of that Barber More then
the design they chose though. :D

I wonder why they did not include the 1913 V nickel. It is worth a lot more than some in the slide show.
