So Marinedad and I just waited until they started pulling those slabs! In fairly short order Mark popped a nice 1895 IH and then wheaties and clad became the norm again. I got a '44 wheatie and a nice '81 IH. But left Mark to do his bidding so I could get some sleep in. But I took a couple pics of him and some finds first. He called me over and told me to look in his bucket because he didn't want to pull out that particular dig in the open.
I looked down and it was an OMG moment, a LUGER laying on the bottom of his bucket! No mistaking one of those even with the gravel finish. I pulled it immediately! Whoa! But noticed right off there was no front sight and it was a little light. It said Luger 9mm Automatic on the side, but alas it was an old toy replica. Very cool one though!
A little later he pulled a very ornate pin from the middle of the bed. There are two crescent spinners in the middle that appear to be gold and the sit atop a wire nest that appears as though it once held a stone of some kind. Very cool looking. Lastly he showed off that awesome Barber half he got in his yard the other day so at last, some pics of Marinedad's digs!
